The Kane Chronicles are a series of films adapted from The Kane Chronicles trilogy of books. They are set to be made by Paramount and released to stream on Netflix at an unspecified date. The films will be produced by Mythomagic, Inc.
History[]
Author of The Kane Chronicles, Rick Riordan, announced on September 12th, 2020 that the trilogy would be adapted into a trilogy of feature films by Netflix.[1] On February 23, 2024, it is revealed that the trilogy was cancelled by Netflix [2]. The film will be shopped around to other studios.
Films[]
- The Red Pyramid (TBA)
- The Throne of Fire (TBA)
- The Serpent’s Shadow (TBA)
Trivia[]
- The reason that Netflix is producing the films instead of Disney+ is due to the rights to The Kane Chronicles not being part of the Fox merger, leaving the rights to the Kane Chronicles avaliable for Netflix to acquire.[3]
