Synopsis[]

Riley Oh wasn’t born into her family. Instead, as she recently discovered, she tumbled down to the earth many years ago as the last fallen star. Riley Oh also wasn’t born to be a witch. Like, at all—even her status as a divine celestial being comes with zilch in the magical powers department. And Riley Oh definitely wasn’t born to be a leader. But now the entire magical community thinks she and her soul-twin, Dahl, are meant to lead the world into the Age of the Final Eclipse (or whatever it is that the Haetae keeps saying they’re “destined” to do). Greeeat.

But ever since Riley killed the Cave Bear Goddess, she’s been a bit pre-occupied with one thing: waiting for the goddess’s sisters to get their revenge. And it looks like her wait is finally over—because as witches from around the world prepare for war, it seems as though the goddesses are preparing for something much worse. Something that will lure Riley and her friends deep into the realm of the gods. Into a world of humongous, talking moon bunnies; life-or-death mini-golf competitions; and . . . magical gummy candies?

And in order to save the world, Riley must do the one thing she was born to do: believe in herself.

Plot[]

Preparing for War and Searching for the Dragon King[]

Bulgae-RR

A bulgae.

Six months after the goddesses stripped most of the American gifted community of their magic, they have gathered at a convention center in Las Vegas, Nevada to strategize for the upcoming battle. As Riley Oh is watching a video her sister Hattie Oh has sent her of her training imugi in the Spiritrealm, Dahl Oh is eager to see the sights as Areum reminds Dahl they are in the city for preparation. Soon Sora Kwon and Austin take the stage and, after a few people reveal they have not been chipped, the pair instructed them to do so so that they can start training and they talk about the upcoming conflict and say other witches around the world are planning as well. Soon Riley and Dahl are called to the stage, Riley is hesitant but Dahl eagerly approaches and addresses the crowd. Soon Riley sees a group of teenagers who have started RilOh, a social media group dedicated to supporting Riley. She leaves and opens a door to the Spiritrealm to speak with Hattie. The sisters discuss current events when Riley gets a text from Phoebe, the head of the fan group, telling her to return. Riley goes back to the Mortalrealm to meet up with Dahl, Taeyo, and Areum to find the sky opening up and saram thinking it is special effects. Soon a long canine creature appears from the sky and Areum says it is a Bulgae, an intelligent yet playful creature from the Godrealm, and flies away to investigate. Riley closes her eyes out of fear and, upon opening them at Dahl's urging, she sees that the sun and sky has disappeared.

As the witches watch the sky, they panic. Sora and Austin try to calm them down as Sora tells Riley to find Dahl and meet up with their parents. Riley is nervous but Sora gives her a pep talk. Riley finds Dahl helping Taeyo calm everyone down and tells him they have to meet up with their parents. Dahl suggests they meet up at a Panda Express in the Vegas Strip, as it is half way. As they walk David Kim, Jennie Byun, Cosette Chung, and Noah Noh say they cannot join them as they are helping calm down witches at their locations, but Emmett Harrison says he can make it. The weather starts to act strange and the scenery shifts, they also see Cheollima flying over head. They theorize this is the goddesses first move until Hattie calls with Yeomra the Great to inform them the mayor thinks that Riley’s traveling between realms is the cause of it. As Riley blames herself and the others reassure her she is not responsible, the mayor says that the Godrealm has started seeping into the Mortalrealm and will soon seep into the Spiritrealm. Hattie reveals she has been having a dream about a dragon emerging from the Trevi Fountain and thinks it is Yongwang, the leader of the underwater borough of the Spiritrealm who has been missing from centuries. After Hattie mentions she rises from the water, her parents interpret this as a sigh that her body will wake up. Dahl finds a replica of the fountain at Caesar’s Palace and suggests they go there. Riley texts everyone to head to Caesar's Palace, but only Taeyo meets the group at the fountain and he greets Dahl. As the teenagers inspector the fountain, James and Eunha looks up at the sky in a daze. When they snap out of it, they say they heard something but cannot remember what it is. As the boys theorize what it is, Riley hears someone calling her name and becomes disoriented, falling into the fountain, she realizes she is in an ocean as the water becomes choppy. Emmett saves her as Taeyo keeps the water at bay. Riley and Emmett find red seaweed on themselves as Dahl says it is from the Tree of Fate, an underwater kelp forest in the Spiritrealm, and they realize the fabric of reality falling apart faster then they realized. Soon a man in a wedding cake costume hands them a flyer for two horses getting married named Charles and Maru. After looking at the flyer, Riley realizes that Charles is the Cheollima who guarded the temple library. After seeing a thumbprint, they realize it is a scale after comparing it to Boris. They realize the wedding has started and that is is inside the palace. They grab Riley’s parents and head inside.

Cheollima Wedding and Adults in a Trance[]

Upon reaching the wedding, they find saram and cheolima in and above the pews. Riley and Emmett speak to Charles, but he does not recognize them as the two realize they were disgusted as Adeline and Cosette. The ceremony starts and the two join their companions. Taeyo and Dahl tear up as Emmett watches stone faced and James and Eunha watch in a daze. After the wedding, Riley and Emmett explain the circumstances of their last encounter and Charles explains that he and Maru decided to get married quickly as Mago's Fire, the first fire in the universe and strongest energy source in existence, was stolen from Mount Baekdu. When Riley mentions Wongdang, Maru mentions one of her bridesmaids heard he was in the Strip after relocated to the Mortalrealm six thousand years ago, confusing Riley as she believed the dragon king left the Soiritrealm six hundred years ago. Maru also says he is rumored to be at a hotel with a canal running through it, making Riley think of Hattie’s dream. Soon Dahl calls over to tell them their parents are leaving and they go after them.

After failing to stop James and Eunha, they notice other adults joining them and they follow them to the Venetian Hotel where Dahl realizes is what Maru was talking about. Dahl and Taeyo search the canals for evidence of Yongdang as Riley and Emmett follow the adults into a wax museum. As they walk, Riley tell’s Emmett how she feels like a fraud and failure for failing to unlock her powers in time as Emmett says she is suffering from imposter syndrome and says everyone in the Gifted Community supports her. After feeling uneasy around a fox statue, Riley realizes that most of the figures are of people of Korean heritage. They find an exhibit on Mago's Fire and believe the museum is from the Godrealm. As they watch the adults file through an exit. The two find themselves in an enormous cavern and the adults file up against the walls. Riley inspects her parents and finds them cold to the touch but still with heartbeats. After further investigation, the two find that all gifted adults in the city are in the cavern. Their friends text them that they saw their parents and other adults walk off in a trance and Riley sends a picture. Their friends say they are on their way as Riley realizes Dahl and Taeyo have not responded. She texts them and Dahl sends urgent texts and they go to help. As they exit the cavern, Riley notices the fox statue is gone.

They find Dahl and Taeyo in a gondola and on a bridge respectively safeguarding an egg as a flock of bonghwang dive bombing them. Riley and Emmett go over to help them as a group of saram watch in amusement. Much to everyone's surprise, Emmett uses his biochip to move the metal railing and fend off one of the bonghwang. However, one is about to attack him from behind and Riley takes the key of keys and stabs it in the stomach. Remembering that bonghwang are benevolent creatures, Riley starts to panic that she killed something that might have been being controlled. As she zones out, Taggy rubs her neck as Areum arrives. When Riley comes to, the other bonghwang are gone along with the saram. The boys say she did nothing wrong and tell her they would of done the same to defend her. Riley then calls Hattie and show her and the mayor the egg. The mayor says that Yongwang has a tendency to change into an egg to hide and rest. Hattie sends Nanjoon to the Mortalrealm to inspect it. The imugi licks the egg before laying on it. Soon the egg hatches and an injured woman appears. Everyone is confused until Hattie recognizes her as the Water Dragon Goddess.

Finding the Fire and Planing to get a Feather[]

Water Dragon Goddess-RR

Water Dragon Goddess

As everyone watches in disbelief, the Water Dragon Goddess says she took the form of Yongwang to get away from her sisters by using unguarded water routes that connected the three realms. She rakes out a fidget spinner and the group realizes it is Mago's Fire. As the goddess clutches her bleeding side, Riley gives her her sweater to apply pressure to the wound. The Water Dragon Goddess explains that she took the fire so that that her sisters would not use it to destroy the three realms and create one large realm in its place for them to govern. Dahl realizes that he and Riley are meant to use the fire to unlock their true potential. But before the spirit twins can take it, the Nine-Tailed Fox Goddess arrives to claiming for herself and her remaining loyal sisters. Riley realizes she has seen the Nine-Tailed Fox Goddess several times that day and that she used them to find the fire fire her. After Riley realizes the Nine-Tailed Fox Goddess was the bonghwang she stabbed, the enemy goddess grabs the fire and the key of keys before fleeing. As Dahl questions why the goddesses want the key of keys, the Oh sisters are distressed that they may never see each other face to face again. As Dahl questions the goddess, they realizes she is close to death. The Water Dragon Goddess asks to be brought to Hattie, Riley realizes what she means and, leaving the boys behind, goes to the motel on Areum. After entering the room, the Water Dragon Goddess goes over to Hattie's body and reveals she fed Hattie her energy while she was in the Cave Bear Goddess's dungeon to keep her alive, embuing her with the power of yong. However, Hattie's body became dependent on her power upon returning and Riley realizes that is why she was slipping into comas and predicting and controlling the weather. As the goddess rejuvenates Hattie, she tells Riley that a feather from a three legged crow can guide her to Mago's Fire and advisises her to be cautious. Before dying, the goddess thanks Hattie for letting her be somewhat of a mother.

Hattie wakes up and the Oh sisters hug in joy. Hattie states that she feels like she has had a refreshing nap and regrets that she was unable to thank the Water Dragon Goddess for saving her. As Riley comments that the imugi will miss Hattie, she says she will probably see them again and sends out a group text to their friends and Riley’s fan club to meet up at the High Roller. Once there, everyone greets Hattie. Emmett, Dahl, Taeyo, Jennie, and Cosette happy welcome her back as Noah hugs her. As Phoebe and her friends shriek in excitement, Areum calls the meeting to order. As they discuss their next move, Emmett says he checked on the wax museum where the adults are to find it missing, indicating that the realms have not entirely merged. He takes out a flyer for a gathering the remaining goddesses have put on and Gus they pitched their idea for their Megarealm. As they pass around the flyer, they realize the event is over and the Oh sisters say they can track down Mago's Fire with a three-legged crow feather. After decided against taking a feather from the Three-Legged Crow Goddess, Areum says she knows a three-legged crow working for Persimmon, a tech company in the Godrealm. After questioning how they will enter the Godrealm, Taeyo reveals he used scales and fur from the goddesses to creat a program to track portals to the Godrealm, but says it is unstable and they could end up trapped in the Godrealm miles from their target. They are it is a risk they need to take and Taeyo lists three locations of portals- the Mob Museum, Eiffel Tower replica, and M&M's World- and Hattie forms teams. First, Dahl, Taeyo, and Emmett are assigned to the Mob Museum, Second, Noah, David, Cosette, and Jennie are assigned to the Eiffel Tower replica. Third, Riley and Areum are put with Hattie Togo to M&M's World. Lastly, Phoebe and her friends are tasked to keep an eye on things in the Mortalrealm.

Entering the Godrealm[]

Upon arriving at M&M World, Hattie tells them to be vigilant. Upon entering the first floor, a group of saram are impressed by Areum, who they think is a cosplayer, and she relishes in the attention. On the second floor, the three are amazed at the amount of flavors and take free samples. Areum starts fidgeting as says Taggy is on her. As Riley takes the wakepillar off her, Areum inadvertently slams her wing into Hattie, who is carrying Riley’s phone, and smashes it. Areum apologizes as Riley find a compass Taeyo had given her when they first met. Taggy crawls onto the needle and it pointed at a cylinder filled with silver and gold M&Ms shaped like the sun and moon. After Hattie finds some gummies and eats them, she goes wide eyed and insists Riley and Areum try them. They are reluctant so Hattie shoves them in their mouths. After a second, the find themselves in the lobby of a company where everyone wears top hats. After finding out that they are at Tokki Pharmaceuticals, a pair of guards notice them and they walk on. As they evade the guards, Areum tells them the story of how the Moon Rabbit Goddess became a goddess. Areum explains that Mago Halmi disguised herself as a begger and asked a fox, a money, and a rabbit for food. The fox brought a fish, the monkey brought fruit, and the rabbit brought the juiciest blades of grass from the greenest part of the meadow. Feeling her offering was not enough, the rabbit throws herself into the fire. Upon hearing this, Mago Halmi made the rabbit immortal and brought her to the Moon. Upon the rabbit's request, Mago Halmi gave the rabbit a morter and pestle so that she could make sweat rice. Shortly afterwards, the rabbit moved to the Godrealm and became a goddess. As they hide in a stairwell, Hattie insists they go down while Riley checks her compass and it tells her they should go up. The three do so and Areum leaves to give the Oh sisters a chance to get away and the girls end up in a laboratory.

They see scientists in suits and top hats working on formulas and hide behind a certain. Riley sees a clear pipe containing green liquid coming up from the ceiling and takes out her compass and it points to where the pipe leads. Just when Areum returns, one of the scientists removes her hat to reveal rabbit ears and says she may have succeeded as the others cheer and will test it on the kids. As Areum explains that the scientists are Moon Rabbits, Riley inadvertently triggers the compass's blades and she yelps in pain. The scientists goes over to the group and Hattie says they are there for the testing. The scientist who created the formula welcomes them and thanks the girls for their sacrifice. As the scientist escorts them to the testing room, which is where the pipe leads, Riley presses the scientist for questions. The scientist says that the goddesses are using Three-Legged Crow Goddess to mind control the gifted community for their army, however it only works on the adults and they are tasked with creating a gummy that will allow them to control children. The group is horrified as they are led into the room. They see cages along the wall and are horrified to find David, Cosette, Noah, and Jennie in them. A sweet smelling gas fills the room and they pass out.

Areum-RR

Areum

The three wake up hours later to their friends calling their names. As Hattie looks for dirt to use as a weapon, David, Noah, Cosette and Jennie say their biochips are useless in the Godrealm as they are powered by the elements in the Mortalrealm. As the others explain the gummies they ever forced to test, with the mind control gummies still deemed not ready, they say the need a crowbal to open the cage doors and hope that Taeyo, Emmett, and Dahl have made it to Persimmon. Soon someone enters the room and introduces himself as a three-legged crow named Sahm, Areum's friend from Persimmon who said their companions reached him and are back at his office. As Sahm works on the locks, he says he found when Taeyo reworked his program to find humans and that Dahl has managed to talk his co-workers into disagreeing with the Megarealm. Fearing someone will walk in on them, Riley asks Sahm to hurry, but he says the building is empty as everyone is attending the tournament to determine the Megarealms's prime minister, stating the goddesses do not wish to run the Megarealm themselves. When asking about the adults in their army, Sahm mentions the goddesses referred them them as a volunteer peacekeeping force. Upon Sahm releasing everyone, Riley recites the Haetae's prophecy and suggests they need the key of keys in addition to Mago's Fire. Hattie then suggests they enter the tournament to get the key and fire, much to everyone’s shock. Soon, they hear something in the vents and are surprised to see Namjoon.

As Hattie greets Namjoon, Riley wonders how he arrived as Hattie translates for the imugi, shocking everyone. Riley theorizes that Hattie can understand Namjoon due to the power of the Water Dragon Goddess. Hattie says that Namjoon is telling her that the rips in the realms have gotten worse. Riley tells them they have to hurry to the tournament, but Sahm says only citizens of the Godrealm can enter. Hattie insist Riley compete as she is the Last Fallen Star while Riley insists Hattie take part due to having the Water Dragon Godess's powers. However everyone insists Riley to it and she agrees. As it is a masquerade tournament, Sahm gives Riley a Phantom of the Opera style mask to wear and David gives her gummies that temporarily give the eater rabbit ears. Sahm gives Riley two of his feather and tells her they will point her to what she is looking for and instructs one to find the key of keys and the other to find Mago's Fire. As Sahm is about to take everyone to Persimmon, David says he is staying behind to try and find a cure for the adults mind washing and Jennie and Cosette stay with him as Noah goes with Hattie. Sahm tells Areum to take Riley to Hungry Holes, a glow in the dark mini golf course. Riley is happy to hear this as she is good at getting holes-in-one.

Prime Minister Tournament[]

Riley and Areum arrive at Hungry Holes to find a bowling alley in its place. Arum theorizes the realms shifted again and the bowling alley becomes an indoor mini golf course and they enter before it changes. As they walk, Riley is amazed by the size of the place and is surprised when she sees over four hundred holes. Areum explains that it is condensed to allow for more players. As they walk, they see wanted posters of Riley and Dahl accusing them theft and murder. Areum goes to scout out exits as Riley gets in line for a ball and putter. As she waits, she takes out her compass, attracting the attention of a man with a tiger tail and ears wearing a luchador costume behind her. He tells her it is a moral compass that guides the weirder to where they need to be. Riley sees the needle point towards an ice cream stand, which she always won at a mini golf place by her house and takes it as a good sign. However when she gets her putter and ball, a shooting star appears and when she takes a closer look at it, Riley sees the Nine-Tailed Fox Goddess, the Moon Rabbit Goddess, the Three-Legged Crow Goddess, and the Mountain Tiger Goddess.

The goddess put on a video to show the contestants how the lack of prayers from the Mortalrealm has hurt the Godrealm's economy and how it will all be fixed by merging the realms. They also spin lies to the contestants on how the Cave Bear Goddess was killed in cold blood, how the humans stole Mago's Fire, and kidnapped the Water Dragon Goddess. As Riley zones out, thinking that the goddesses truly believe they are doing the right thing, she misses the rules and asks the luchador. He says their are three rounds. The first round is an elimination round where only those who get a hole in one can move on. When he says the second and third rounds focuses on command and commitment respectively, Riley becomes concerned upon realizing the mini golf aspect is only for the first round. He goes off and points out that one of Riley’s ears looks infected. Realizing one gummy’s effects are wearing off, she takes another one. As she questions where Areum is, the contestants are called to their holes and she reluctantly goes to hole one hundred twenty three, modeled after a cup of boba tea half spilled on the ground with the hole in the straw. Upon inspecting the hole she realizes that the tapioca balls prevent a clear shot to the hole along with a steep incline. As tea-off is in two minutes, Riley panics at the challenge ahead of her. The goddesses say everyone has ten minutes to get a hole in one and the countdown starts. Riley looks around and sees other contestants vanishing in clouds of smoke, red for those who fail or green for those who succeed. Riley starts to have a panic attack and goes to a photo booth to calm down as Taggy nudges her ear.. She sees a button that lets you obtain pictures of everyone thinking of the customer at that moment and pushes the button and obtains four pictures. The first one shows Phoebe and other RihOh members calming down a group of saram who start to believe the sky vanishing was not a trick. The second shows Hattie giving a fiery speech to the employees of Persimmon. The last two are of Emmett. Remembering she is doing this for her loved ones, Riley’s goes back to the hole and prepares to swing. However the club does not make contact with the ball and the two form faces and start arguing about a fake phone number the club gave the ball, which the club denies. With four minutes on the clock, Riley tries to mediate the Tito no success. She then takes out her compass see what to do, even put it it on star mode, but nothing happens. When wind appears, Riley tells the club and ball, Chae and Gong, what Chae could have given Gong the wrong number without realizing it and that they still have feeling for each other. As Riley says they need to have faith, she sees that there is less then a minute left and gives up. However Chae and Gong, moved back Riley's speech, help her and with seconds to spare, Riley gets a hole in one and is surrounded by green smoke as she celebrates.

Riley emerges in an ice rink with hundreds of spectators, including Charles and Maru, as three doors marked with symbols for fire, earth, and water spear and she has six seconds to chose or she will be thrown out of the contest. In a panic, Riley picks fire and the arena if flooded with clouds. Soon a Bulgae appears and a leash, collar, and whip appear before her. Riley is told she has thirty minutes to use the items before her to get the bulgae to light a pile of junk on fire. Riley struggles to get it to light the junk on fire. After covering herself in clouds to keep herself from getting burned, Riley tries and fails to lasso it. After realizing she has fifteen minutes left, she takes out her compass to find a mirror. She looks at the bulgae and thinks of her dog Mong back in Los Angeles and realizes she can use the same trick to get the bulgae to listen to her. She reveals herself to the newlyweds and convinces them to help by giving them the rest of her transformation gummies. After coating Charles in clouds and building an obstacle course out of the junk. They trick the bulgae into chasing Charles and, with a minute left, the entire course is set on fire. As the crowd cheers, Riley is teleported to a moving mine cart.

She sees giants looking down at her as she barrels down the tracks. A voice tells Riley she is one of the candidates still in the game and that the final round involves her making hard decisions for the good of the many, telling her that she must choose either left or right and hit either one or five dummies respectively. She chooses left and crashes into a jell filled dummy. A hands picks her up and tells her she will repeat the act a second time but the cart will be preprogrammed to go whatever direction she has the lever at and will allow her one ten second pause. As she reaches the fork, Riley chooses left but hits the pause button and looks on horrified upon realizing the five ‘dummies’ on her right are fellow contestants and the one on the left is Emmett, all bound and gagged. As the timer runs out, Riley realizes the strange feelings she felt around Emmett was love and that she wanted to be more then friends with him. She chooses left and tries desperately to derail the cart. However she fails. Thankfully, Areum arrives and Riley jumps onto her as they desperately try to save Emmett. Riley manages to derail the cart, at the coast of breaking her leg, and scoops up Emmett. She removes his gag and promises to protect him.

The scene dissolves and Riley finds herself on a floating platform back at Hungry Holes. The goddesses congratulate her as she sees Emmett and Areum in the audience. When the goddesses reveal she will be inaugurated at a sacred location, they ask her to remove her mask. However Riley’s ears vanish and the goddesses realize who she is. The three-legged crow goddess grabs Riley just as Dahl, Taeyo, Noah, Hattie, Namjoon, Sahm, and three bonghwangs appear to help and Emmett and Areum join in as well with Noah tossing Emmett Boris. The goddesses try to shield themselves, but Hattie steals the fire as Sahm claws one of the Moon Rabbit Goddess's eyes. Hattie heals Riley’s leg just as the Three-Legged Crow Goddess grabs Dahl and demands the fire. Riley gives it to her but the goddess grabs her. Just then, Yeomra the Great arrives and tries to save both Riley and Dahl, but only succeeds in saving Riley. The goddesses retreat as everyone questions where they took Dahl. As Riley notices that Taggy has made a cocoon on her ear, Emmett pulls her aside and demands she not risk her life like that anymore. Riley says she cannot and, as she is halfway through confessing, Emmett kisses her as their friends watch. Emmett gives Riley a bracelet made from the red seaweed from the Trevi Fountain and they go back to their friends hand in hand to find out where the ceremony is.

Stopping the Final Eclipse[]

As everyone thinks of ways to track Dahl, Riley looks at her soul twin’s phone and hears his voice. He tells her he thinks he is outside and smells of acacia. Riley relays this information to the others before Dahl backtracks and tells her not to come before ending their conversation. Using what Dahl said, they deduce that he is at Mount Baekdu and, as Riley looks at Dahl phone, she realizes he is at the Luxor Hotel. Sahm heads back to Persimmon as the others head back to Las Vegas. As they sore over the city, they see that the realms are close to merging and, as they reach their destination, find that the mountain and hotel have merged as well. They strategize before Riley lies that she knows how to activate her and Dahl's true potential. As they creep up on the goddesses, Riley heads a conversation she thinks is familiar and they strike. However the goddesses are unfazed and describe what they need to create the Megarealm as similar to driving a car, comparing the key to a car key and the fire to a car. Upon saying they need a special soul to power it, Riley realizes it is a trap and the goddesses merge the key and fire before throwing it to the mayor. As Yeomra charges at Riley, her Allie’s try to save her before Dahl shields her with his body and is stabbed in the chest.

Taggy-RR

Taggy

Dahl falls lifelessly to the ground as Taeyo begs him to be alright as Hattie desperately tries to heal him. Emmett comforts Riley as Yeomra says it is hopeless and that Dahl's soul is in the key of keys. Riley soon realizes the mayor has been working for the goddesses for as long as she has known him and that he knew the CFOs were disgruntled and pinned the blame of the Salmosa poisoning on them. As well as giving Dahl his mum-pen to purposefully weaken the barrier between the realms. They mayor says he sided with them to maintain his grip on power in the Megarealm and Riley realizes the tournament was a sham. When the goddesses get impatient, the mayor stabs the blood soaked key in the Tree of Life and starts the merging as the tree bleeds and screams. The goddesses bind Riley’s companions in webbing as the Mountain Tiger Goddess pins Riley down and mocks her. Boris, who is resting against the side of the walkway, transforms into a dragon. He knocks the key out of the mayor’s hand and tries to attack the goddesses before getting stuck in the webbing. Riley threatens to kill Yeomra as the mayor calls her bluff. The ground swallows up Riley’s companions as she drops the keys and backs up into Dahl. She watches and sobs as her twin falls into the fissure before the mayor pushes her in. However, she is saved by the Haetae. As the Haetae carries Riley out of the fissure, she proclaims that Mago Halmi is a myth as she screams at the misfortune she experienced in the past day. However the Haetae tells her the creation story and says the first tear Mago Halmi shed was from joy rather then sadness. The Haetae goes on to say Riley is wrong about Mago Halmi as she was wrong on the Horangi being evil. As they emerge from the fissure, the Haetae says she can reverse the merging as Riley notices that the moon has returned and they hear Dahl's voice. Dahl reveals that, when he was killed, his soul returned the the moon and he explains how he is now a part of it as he once was. When Riley asks if he is upset that he cannot see all the places he wanted to visit, Dahl says he still can and thanks Riley for letting him be mortal. Before leaving, he says Taggy is hatching and, when they emerge as a butterfly, the Haetae addresses them as Mago Halmi. Dahl and the Haetae chuckle as Riley gaps at Mago Halmi. The butterfly flies into Riley and she reels both positive and negative emotions as well as learning that love is the force she needs to awaken her full potential.

Facing the Goddesses[]

The Haetae flies Riley to Las Vegas were the realms are almost completely merged and they find the mayor and goddesses facing protesting citizens from the Godrealm and Spiritream angry at the changes. As the goddess explain that it will take time for their promises to come to be, Riley sees that their mortal army has grown and that saram adults are now in it. She becomes horrified upon seeing brainwashed children, including Hattie and her friends. The Haetate lands by the goddesses and Yeomra cowers behind them. As Riley demands the key, the goddesses send her parents to attack her. As Riley tries to snap them out of their trance- David, Cosette, and Jennie arrive with a gummy to cure the brainwashing and Riley feeds two to her parents. After David says they befriended the moon rabbits and Tokki Pharmaceuticals, he and the others work to free everyone from mind control as Riley and the Haetae go after the mayor. They chase him to a river where Dahl summons a wave, shocking the mayor and the goddesses, as Bada and Daeyang emerge from the wave and attack the mayor, knocking the key of keys and the mum-pen out of his possession. However, the Three-Legged Crow Goddess grabs them before Riley can and escapes by drawing a door.

Riley follows the Three-Legged Crow Goddess through the portal into a casino. Upon reaching an empty theater, the goddess summons her sisters and they prepare to ground up Riley in the Moon Rabbit Goddess's mortar. However Riley tells the Moon Rabbit Goddess she does not have to be like her sisters and the Moon Rabbit Goddess has a change of heart as her sisters berate her. Soon Namjoon, Boris, Hattie, Emmett, James, Eunha, Taeyo, Cosette, Noah, Jennie, Sahm, Areum, Charles, Maru, Okja, Sora, Austin, Emmett, the Haetae- with the mayor in its jaws, Phoebe, and two other members of RilOh arrive. As the goddesses are distracted, Riley destroys the key and gives a piece of Mago's Fire to everyone, including the goddesses, who revert to infant animals. As everyone takes in their victory, Emmett suggests the Yeomra be made a janitor as the mayor pleads for death instead. As everyone thinks of ways to separate the realms, Riley knows the only way is for her to become the new sun. The others try to talk Riley out of it, but she insists it is the only way. They say their goodbyes and Riley uses Emmett’s bracelet to link herself into her loved ones and the goddesses. Before going, Riley tells Hattie to make it rain as soon as she becomes the sun. The Haetae takes Riley to the stratosphere and she becomes the new sun, giving magic to everyone and Hattie makes it rain.

One Year Later[]

One year after becoming the sun, Riley reflects on that time. She reflects on how Dahl talks to her all the time, either asking what he is missing during the day and what he sees at night. The Haetate often visits her with Mong, who has been made the Haetae's protégé. Areum visits Riley to inform her that she and Sahm have moved in together and are considering starting a family. After separating the realms, Charles, Maru, and Pyo Beom- the luchador from the tournament, have created a directorial-style government with each species in the realm having a representative. In the Spiritrealm, Yeomra was sentence to janitorial duties at the H-Mart bathrooms for eternity with Hattie becoming mayor of the realm in a landslide, along with discovering her ability to breath underwater. At James and Eunha's request, Cheol and Yeowu act as standings during the school week so that she can stay with her parents. Emmett often speaks with Riley, something she looks forward to. As a reward for their sacrifices and restoring the realms, Mago Halmi allows Riley and Dahl to return to Earth once a year to meet with their friends and family. Riley also reveals that the all members of the Gifted Community now have access to the other five clans magic in edition to their elemental magic.
