    • I think she or he meant, Percy and Annabeth were kinda disliked each other in first, and then later they warmed up each other and became friends. They weren't enemies, but Annabeth were kinda cold towards Percy first. Like Leo and Calypso. Calypso first disliked Leo, and then later she warmed up and began to like and love him.

That was exactly what I meant but I forgot how to word it lol

    • I staunchly believe that all the pairings (except Percabeth) in this whole universe are forced. Percy and Anna beth are my favorites. They are the only ones who actually bonded over a period of time. All the others (except Caleo) came IN as a pair, pretty much. Frank and Hazel came in as a pair, and so did Jasper. Solangelo was really sweet, and they may have bonded between June and January. That's six whole months for bonding, so fine, they did bond. And Caleo came up just because the only single character other than Calypso was Reyna, and Reyna and Leo doesn't have that ring to it. And Leo just HAD to have a girlfriend, because all his friends have found the love of their lives by sixteen (or eighteen, whatever) and have settled down with them and Leo cannot be the literal third wheel (or seventh wheel. Again, whatever) because that would be heartbreaking for all of us. Hence I believe that Percabeth was true love and others, like typical Disney, (catch the Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel.... Pretty much every single princess movie of Disney except Frozen) were there for the sole purpose of leaving nobody single.

      Honestly, mine too.

For Percabeth...Their credit is that their relationship is less forced among the others. And that's it, for me. I really do not into romance in this series..., so I do not really care. (I stopped to care when I saw all that 'romance'.)

Annabeth didn’t dislike him at first. She showed him around camp and wanted him on her team in capture the flag. Only after she found out that he was a son of Poseidon she disliked him, for, like two days. A few days after they were friends.

I see what you mean, but I meant how she was cold to him due to their parentage (how Athena and Poseidon had that rivalry between them)

    • Now, I have no favorite 'ship', but I would like to talk about the romance in the series and I might piss a lot of people, but here's my thoughts about the relationships in the series;

Percabeth's relationship is less forced, but seeing that Annabeth started to love Percy when she was twelve years old, it makes that their 'friendship' is kind of ruined. Because, I thought that they were first friends and they did not have romantic feeling for each other. Then we learned that this isn't true and Annabeth started to love Percy when she was twelve years old. So, it overboard their friendship and ruined.

And, for HoO series...their relationship became sappy and cheap. In the MoA, and in the HoH. I'm sick of their sappy romance when I was reading the book, so i skimmed or skipped their chapters. In some moments, they became the literal cliche and eye rolling couple in the book.

Frazel is forced. Cute or not, it doesn't still change the fact that their relationship is forced. And, their relationship literally and just happened because of these 'pairings'. I think they would've been great if they just stayed as friends. Or, at least, if they started to have a relationship later...But, now, I think that they are forced. And Hazel is thirteen years old, she doesn't need to be in a forced relationship. Why in this series all character's significant others always becomes their first life problems, I wonder. Why everyone needs to be in a relationship? Is friendship not matter anymore?

I disliked Jasper, and I'm glad that they broke up. Because, their relationship and love was fake and basically based on fake memories and Mist trick. It was so sick and unhealthy. And nobody can change my mind about it.

Same for Caleo. Calypso fell in love with Leo because of her curse. (And, yeah, you can discuss about it with me that it wasn't because of the curse. But it was, and I don't think my opinion about it will change anymore, as 4 years have been past and I'm thinking the same thing still, even after I red so many opinions about it)

Solangelo is maybe little bit forced for some people. But they still are better than the others.

    • I don't have a book with me, but I'm pretty sure that she said that she started to love Percy when she was twelve. And that 'I tolerated you' speech is obviously a joke, because if I remember correctly, Annabeth was said it with teasing him.

    • 90% are teens and minors forced into an unhealthy relationship.

      Basically, yes.

^^Give me an honest example that a relationship which is not unhealthy or not forced or not unrealistic, or isn't based on obsessiveness or possessiveness. Even dear Percabeth is suffer because of these things. Espacially, in the HoO. I can buy pjo romance, maybe, just maybe even if this is so predictable and obvious, or cringey and unrealistic sometimes. (Like, how at the end of the Pjo series the entire camp threw Percy and Annabeth into the lake and cheered for them; just please...not even half of camp would have damn cared about those things or given their love-life a second thought, because they're all just kids and most just lost their best friends and siblings in the war.) But I can not buy any of the romance in the HoO series, in any way. And as someone said before, knowing that Annabeth's fell in love with Percy when she was twelve years old ruins the image of her and her characterization, it ruins friendship, which, is suck. And, everyone in the books are literal Percabeth shippers. Even the villains that examples of Arachne and Gaea. Arachne made a tapestry of Percy's and Annabeth's underwater kiss. They're sixteen-years-old brats, but Arachne cares enough to capture their first kiss on tapestry, because oh my gosh it's her OTP. And their relationship is not in a way getting development, it's getting suckier and cheap and cringey more and more. And Annabeth's being the literal the Love Interest of Percy in the HoO series ruins her characterization and that makes me want to punch the wall.

(It's turning into a rant, so I stop here.)

Why is there this feeling in these books that, if a person does not find a bf or gf by 14-16 years, they will not have anything in life? Seriously. I mean, there are tons of people who find love at 20, at 25, at 35, at 50, maybe even 60. I also truly dislike Jason's fantasy where he and Piper are married and have grandkids and stuff. Seriously, they may grow out of it. Not every relationship lasts forever, and that's even when they're married. These kids are, well, kids. And they should just focus on life and saving the world and stuff, and just get into a relationship that means something whenever they find one. Love is surely not the most important thing to a set of teenagers. Now that I say this, I even feel that PERCABETH may not be so good anymore. Solangelo is adorable,, but it was only created because after HoH, we would feel really bad for Nico, and he had to have something good in his life.

    • I'm pretty late to this party, but SOLANGELO. When I was questioning my sexuality, Solangelo and Nico being gay helped me a bunch, so it will always have a special place in my heart. Second would be either Percabeth or Frazel, because both of those relationships are well written and developed. Gonna be honest, I'm not a big fan of Jiper/Jasper. It just gives me weird vibes, like 'if you are put into a relationship with someone you don't know, you will fall in love with them anyway'. I actually ship Piper and Reyna a lot, because I just think their personalities complement each other very well.

Sky and Alex from the Unwanteds. Amazing relationship honestly because YOU THOUGHT he loved Lani.

Anyway, as for what this is actually about XD. I like all them although Jason and Piper seemed a bit rushed. Percy and Annabeth were awesome, as were Nico and Will. I did like Frank and Hazel and there wasn't all that much drama between them as far as I can remember. Leo and Calypso...well she wasn't my favorite character but okay...Here's my point...I know they're young and it seemed rushed but consider this: if you were in their position and you never knew when you're gonna die, wouldn't you want to love someone? I mean, they all came close to dying (obviously) but demigod's lives are so short that having a relationship earlier guarantees that they can have one at least. Although I agree with some of the points, Percy and Annabeth being 'rushed' or whatever...that's stupid. How many years was it before they actually went out? And so what if some people already came as friends? That's okay; they just developed a relationship that was friendship-born. What I'm saying is that there are different types of relationships and people come to love each other differently; we have to accept it because that's the world now. That's all I have to say.

As for who I ship, Percabeth with Soangelo at a close second, I also think Frazel is adorable. Also, I have this weird thing about non-canon ships, I just don't like them.
