Tiamat is the primordial dragon goddess.
History[]
Tiamat was the first goddess in existence who created all of the other Mesopotamian Gods. She eventually grew tired of her children and raised up an army of monsters to stop them with Kingu as the leader, creating the Tablet of Destinies in order to help him. Although the rest of the gods were terrified, Marduk grabbed as many god-weapons as he could, although he left Kasusu behind, and rode into battle with the goddess who took on the form of a great dragon the size of a continent with wings covering the skies. After an epic battle, Marduk managed to slay Tiamat and then created the universe from her body. The tears from Tiamat's eyes became the springs of the Euphrates and Tigris rivers, her bones were used to create the mountains, and her scales the stars which became the dwelling places of the gods.[1]

Fury of the Dragon Goddess[]
After getting the Tablet of Destinies, Kingu, now known as Lugal, begins resurrecting his mother. This causes the stars to begin going out, the Tigris and Euphrates rivers to dry up, the mountains to begin breaking apart, the seas rising and Tiamat's brood on the loose. In effect, as Tiamat is resurrected, all of creation begins unraveling.
Tiamat is successfully raised by Lugal and begins consuming all of existence. Mohammed Aziz and Sikander Aziz enter the goddess' body where her mere presence begins erasing the Tablet of Destinies, which Sik realizes will give everything a clean slate if he and Mo can get it out Tiamat before it sets. Using Kasusu, Sik begins slicing the goddess apart from the inside, causing Tiamat to tear herself open in order to get at Sik, manifesting in her titanic mythic form. However, Tiamat is unable to stop Sik from slicing her to ribbons with the pulsating maggot-like fragments then being finished off by Mo with a venomous fang torn from one of the goddess' own creations. Finally, after Sik strikes the last serpentine fragment of the goddess with Kasusu, it attacked its own tail - the only thing in striking distance - in its fury and tore itself apart until it dissolved into light, killing Tiamat and releasing Sik and Mo.
Tiamat's destruction and the Tablet of Destinies being wiped clean reversed all of the destruction that the goddess had caused and restored everything and everyone that she had destroyed.
Abilities[]
As a primordial goddess, Tiamat is one of the most powerful beings in all of existence. Shortly after her resurrection, Tiamat was effortlessly able to consume all of creation.
Consumption of Creation: Tiamat is capable of engulfing all of creation, threatening the very existence of the universe.
Creation: Tiamat was capable of creating beings and magical objects. She spawned the first generation of Mesopotamian gods, embodying the primordial creative power, and became the mother of all monsters. To combat the younger gods, she created an army of monstrous creatures, demonstrating her ability to spawn powerful, sentient lifeforms. She also created the Tablet of Destinies. This artifact grants its wearer the power to alter destiny, making it a formidable weapon in the wrong hands.
Trivia[]
