Tokyo is both the capital and largest city of Japan. The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world. It is the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the Japanese government.

Carter Kane sees the city’s Nome in a vision, where a man is body slammed out of a skyscraper by a demon with a katana for a head. Later, Zia Rashid revealed that Sarah Jacobi and her rebel movement were responsible for launching the attack on Tokyo, but the insurrection was claiming these strikes were the work of either the forces of Apophis or the Kane family. Utilising the fear of Apophis and his rise to convert more to their side, the rebel magicians were able either turn or defeat most of the Nomes located throughout Europe and Asia.
