Turkey, officially the Republic of Turkey, is a country in West Asia.

After failing to shake Percy Jackson, Hecuba shadow travels to the ruins of Troy to mourn her family and home. As they watch the sun rise, Percy tells about his fear for his yet to be born sibling and that he has lost people he cares about as well. The son of Poseidon also tells her that he believes his lost loved ones would want him to live his life to the fullest. Hecuba agrees to go back to Hecate.

The inhabitants of modern day Turkey migrated to the region from Central Asia. The languages of the countries come from the same family.
The first president of Turkey- Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (born Ali Rıza oğlu Mustafa)- named himself after the country.
