The United States Virgin Islands are part of the Virgin Islands, an Archipelago in the Caribbean Sea split between the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

The Virgin Islands were colonized by Britain and Spain, in the modern day the British still have a share of the Virgin Islands while the Spanish’s share of the islands are a part of Puerto Rico.
The United States Virgin Islands consists of three main islands (St. Croix, St. John, and St. Thomas) with various smaller islands scattered around the territory.
