Uraei are winged, cobra-like creatures that used to serve Ra.

They took part in the Battle of Brooklyn House on Vladimir Menshikov's side. Menshikov might have been able to convince them to do so because he was descended from the priests of Ra.
However, the uraei changed sides when Sadie and Carter arrived at the battle with a senile, newly awakened Ra. As the Kane siblings sailed the sun boat into Brooklyn House with Ra, the uraei hailed the sun boat and stopped fighting against Brooklyn House.

While Apollo and Calypso are trying to rescue Britomartis' griffins from Commodus' prison, they find some exotic creatures, including flesh-eating horses and a couple of Arabian winged snakes, most probably uraei.
