Utah is a state in the western United States of America.
- The Utah territory originally consisted of what is now Nevada in the West, Western Colorado in the east, and what is today southwest Wyoming. This was due to a deal between the U.S. government and the Mormons that they could have their own territory, but if they found gold then that section would be annexed by the country.
- Utah is part of the Mexican Cession, land obtained by the United States after the Mexican-American War, along with Arizona, California, Nevada, and New Mexico. Along with Western Colorado and Southwestern Wyoming.
