Uttanka (ooh-TUHN-kuh) is rishi who was granted a boon of getting water from anyone.[1]
History[]
Uttanka used to be a well-respected sage, he once bowed in worship as Krishna offered him a boon of his choice. Since he was often thirsty, he asked for the ability to find water whenever he needed it. Though he didn't really need to call upon the boon for a while. Then one other day, Krishna decided to give him some of the Amrita to make Uttanka immortal. But Indra decided to test him first to see if he was worthy, he appeared to the rishi as a filthy hunter and offering him unhygenic water. Even though Uttanka was so thirsy, he was too digusted to accept. It was then that Indra revealed himself and his text in that he missed out on his chance at immortality. Still, Uttanka was allowed to keep his boon, rain clouds will follow him whenever he goes and wishes.[2]

Appearance[]
At first, Uttanka appeared in the form of a magician named Tanutka. He was a shot and pale-skinned man with a tuft of dandelion-white hair. He had a hunched back, a wrinkled face, long nails, and his body was cloaked in a large purple cape.
Upon revealing his true form, Uttanka was taller with a straighter back, smoother face, and shorter nails. His hair was puffy clouds that hung down his ears, rain drops fall from it when he stretches his neck. His cloak becomes a majestic robe made of silver-laced storm clouds.
