Venice

Venice is a city in northeastern Italy sited on a group of one hundred eighteen small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges. The city is visited by the crew of the Argo II in The House of Hades.

It is also the birthplace of Nico di Angelo and Bianca di Angelo, children of Hades and Maria di Angelo. They were both born in the early 1930s.

The crew of the Argo II stop in the city to to get special barley cakes from Triptolemus to keep them from being poisoned at the Necromanteion.

Nico dreams of a time when his mother’s friend managed to sneak them into a luxury apartment to watch a parade from the balcony.
