Washington, District of Columbia (commonly known as Washington, D.C. or just D.C.) is a federal district and the capital of the United States of America.

During the quest to free Artemis, Grover Underwood, Zoë Nightshade, Thalia Grace and Bianca di Angelo stopped to take a quick rest and went to visit the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Percy Jackson secretly followed them there with Blackjack and witnessed Atlas growing Skeleton Warriors. Atlas finds Percy spying on him and unleashes the Nemean lion.
