Zeus is the Greek god of the sky, thunder, lightning, kingship, honor and justice and the king of the gods.
History[]
Zeus freed his siblings from his father Kronos and started a war to overthrow the titans. The gods won and Zeus and his brothers divided the world between themselves. Zeus took the heavens, Poseidon took the seas, and Hades took the Underworld.
At one point, Zeus fathered a demigod daughter named Thalia Grace. When she was in her early teens, Thalia died fighting a cyclops and he turned his daughter into a tree.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief[]
After the Master Bolt is stolen, Zeus accuses Poseidon of having his demigod son Percy steal it for him, an act Poseidon denies. Despite his brother’s pleas for innocence, Zeus gives Percy until the Summer Solstice to return the bolt.
As the deadline approaches, Percy has yet to return the bolt. Poseidon and Athena beg him to reconsider war. The second the deadline passes, Percy has not arrived and Zeus declares war. However, a few seconds later the son of Poseidon finally arrives and returns the Master Bolt. Percy tells Zeus the real culprit is Luke Castellan and Zeus accepts the information.

Zeus resembles a man with brown hair and beard with green eyes. He wears silver armor with a cape.
Personality[]
Zeus is a traditionalist, believing the gods should never interact with their demigod children.
Abilities and Tools[]
- Atmokinesis: As the god of the sky, Zeus has control over everything in his domain, lighting, wind, storms, and so on.

Etymology[]
The name Zeus comes from the proto - Indo - European root / word Deus, meaning god. D evolved into Z in Greek, but was specifically used for Zeus's name. Both gods and mortals referred to Zeus as Pater Zeus (Father Zeus) or Zeus Pater (Zeus Father)
